At Taipei High-Speed Rail Station, passenger traffic gradually increased in the afternoon of the 23rd. A small number of passengers boarding from Nangang Station hardly had to queue. Taipei Station had more crowds, with many people waiting for free-seating cars.

As expected, there was a sizable queue for the free-seating cars.

When standing space in the free-seating cars ran out, the spaces between cars were also filled with returning passengers.

The vote prompted a wave of people returning home, including those coming back from overseas.

Southbound cars were full, and every southbound station had many passengers waiting in line.

The high-speed rail experienced a large influx of returning passengers.

Some netizens joked that the scale of this homecoming movement was “almost like Chinese New Year,” and the night before the election on the 23rd marked the peak of transportation. Taoyuan Airport also saw a noticeable increase in arriving passengers in recent days. Be sure to stay safe during travel and watch out for crowding and pushing.
