Snap stunning Christmas and New Year’s photos in Singapore – Top 10 festive hotspots

This Christmas, beloved Disney and Pixar characters such as Mickey Mouse, Cinderella, Elsa, and Woody—favorites among both kids and adults—will celebrate together on Orchard Road, Singapore’s famous shopping district. This marks Disney’s largest Christmas street event in Southeast Asia, “Disney Magical Moments.”

The event runs from November 10, 2018, to January 1, 2019, featuring four spectacular themes: Disney Princesses, Mickey and Friends, Frozen, and Toy Story. The approximately 2.88-kilometer stretch of Orchard Road, from Tanglin Mall to Singapore Plaza, will be transformed into a photo wonderland.

In addition to dazzling and adorable Disney light displays, the venue offers a variety of family-friendly rides. Children who love Santa Claus can also visit Santa’s House to take part in fun craft activities. On Christmas Eve, an even bigger Christmas market and live music performances will be held.

The air at Gardens by the Bay seems to shimmer with magical sparkles, as Disney Tsum Tsum transforms this Christmas flower exhibit into a fantastical dream world. With twinkling lights and festive decorations, Mickey Mouse and the stackable Tsum Tsum friends perched atop the Christmas tree bring charm to the Flower Dome’s tallest tree, melting the hearts of visitors.

In this special “Disney Tsum Tsum Christmas Wish” flower exhibit, Olaf the snowman hides amidst vibrant poinsettias, Christmas berries, and holly, as if he’s returned to his icy kingdom. Dumbo the flying elephant is also ready with a sleigh full of gifts, about to take flight.

ZoukOut Festival is Asia’s largest beach rave party, organized by the renowned club Zouk. Each year, it invites world-famous artists to perform, featuring an impressive lineup and top 100 DJs from around the globe. From dusk till dawn, enjoy 16 hours of music and beach festivities, dancing with people from different countries for an unforgettable experience.

What sets ZoukOut apart from other music festivals is its unique venue—the Siloso Beach at Sentosa, Singapore. During the event, world-class DJs gather to deliver high-energy live performances. This year, the program features the world’s No. 1 DJ duo, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, as special guests.

Now in its fifth consecutive year, Christmas Wonderland returns to Gardens by the Bay with an ice palace. Lace up your skates and enjoy the festive chill on a real ice rink, or take photos with Santa at his cabin.

One of this year’s highlights is the hand-carved Christmas light installation by Italian artisans. Standing at an impressive 21 meters tall, it’s the tallest Christmas tree light display in Asia, crafted from intricately carved white wood and adorned with golden ornaments. There’s also Southeast Asia’s largest mirror maze, covering 314 square meters and reaching 22 meters in height, where visitors can get lost in a dreamy Christmas atmosphere.

The event runs from November 30 to December 26, 2018. Ride a vintage carousel through time, or take a spin on the Christmas train around the playground. In the charming Christmas market with French and German flair, you’ll find a wide array of handmade accessories, game stalls, festive snacks, and local street food—celebrate Christmas with delicious treats paired with wine and Christmas beer.
