I managed not to waste my rare two-day holiday and went on a one-night-two-day trip to Macau!
We departed from the Hong Kong-Macau Ferry Terminal around noon and arrived at the hotel just in time for check-in.
After quickly packing up, we had afternoon tea and then headed to the attractions.
Following Google Maps, we soon reached our first destination: the Museum of Art (Address: Avenida Xian Xing Hai, Macau New Reclamation Area).
The design, known for its sense of space, coupled with the tranquil surroundings… It was hard to believe we were in bustling Macau.
But due to time constraints, we didn’t go inside the museum; we just took some photos outside.
The Babylon Casino right across the street also boasts an impressive exterior design.
Then we continued walking along the side of the Museum of Art.
About ten minutes later, we arrived at our second destination: the Science Museum (Address: Avenida Dr. Sun Yat-Sen, Macau).
As we got closer, we spotted the popular photo spot among tourists—the heart-shaped tree!
Entry is still allowed one hour before closing, so after buying tickets, we started from the rooftop observation deck and worked our way down.
Each themed area is interconnected, so we finished the visit pretty quickly.
By this time, it was almost six o’clock, so we took a bus to the next destination.
We got off at the Macau Ferry Terminal station and followed the signs toward A-Ma Temple, walking all the way.
Finally arriving at Sai Van, we were a bit late for the golden hour, only to see the illuminated Macau Tower after dark.
The gentle sea breeze felt quite refreshing, so we continued walking along the waterfront until we reached the city center.
By then, it was already past nine, so we grabbed a quick dinner at a random restaurant.
Alright, after dinner, let’s head to our final stop!!! My friend wanted to see the unique architectural designs of the Arch of Triumph and MGM Hotel!
Along the way, we passed hotels like the Grand Lisboa, Wynn, and Galaxy—all featuring distinctive designs.
But I personally loved the simple yet stylish lines of the Wynn Hotel’s design.
It’s a pity that my camera battery died, so I could only take one night scene photo.
At around eleven o’clock, we took a taxi back to the hotel, concluding our first day!
Although it rained the next day, we still visited a nearby museum before checking out.
They are located in the basement of the Macao Tourism Activity Centre on Avenida de Luis Gonzaga Gomes, namely the Macau Grand Prix Museum and the Wine Museum.
It took about an hour to satisfy my friend’s long-time interest in both the racing history of the Macau Grand Prix and wine.
When we left the hotel, the rain got heavier, and our planned trip to Fisherman’s Wharf had to be canceled.
We directly took a taxi from outside the hotel to Coloane’s Rua do Cunha for food, drinks, and souvenirs, heading to_?砭头迪愀邸?
Postscript:
Our two-day, one-night trip may seem a bit packed, but we didn’t have a rigid schedule.
If you look closely, you’ll notice our itinerary flowed smoothly without retracing our steps — all thanks to the preparatory research we did in advance.
Especially on the first day, under the scorching summer sun with temperatures soaring over thirty degrees, not everyone can endure the sweltering heat.
Fortunately, I found a like-minded friend to explore more of... Macau beyond the casinos!
