Dine on Angus beef in the clouds—the highest "all-you-can-eat" restaurant in Taipei has opened

The all-you-can-eat craze continues into this year, and the newly opened Taipei Songshan Y Hotel has now joined the fray, with its 17th-floor"Que Restaurant"not only offering distinctive log-grilled cuisine but also a weekend-only all-you-can-eat brunch. With its floor-to-ceiling windows, diners can enjoy the daytime and nighttime views of the Keelung River while they eat—making it currently the highest all-you-can-eat restaurant in a Taipei hotel.

Unlike the traditional model where one flat rate gets you access to all dishes,Taipei Songshan Y Hotel adopts a "Semi Buffet" formatwhere customers must first choose one main dish from six options: 8-ounce American Prime Wagyu, American Select Ribeye, Gamalan Bone-in Pork Loin, New Zealand Lamb Rack, Sea Bream with Prawns, and Grilled Sea & Land Skewers. Each option varies in price, ranging from NT$780 to NT$2,180, plus a 10% service charge, while the buffet counter offers unlimited access to a variety of side dishes.

Tasting the priciest option, the "8-ounce American Prime Wagyu," which uses Angus beef, the meat is tender and soft. Thanks to the log-grilling method, the surface has a slightly smoky, charred flavor. Despite being medium-rare, there’s no overly strong bloody taste, making it a challenge even for those who don’t usually eat rare meat.

"Sea Bream with Prawns" is equally impressive. The grilling gives the skin a slightly charred exterior, but the inside remains light and sweet. It suits those who prefer milder flavors. The recommended way to eat it is to first enjoy the fish’s natural sweetness, then take a second bite with citrus sauce to bring out a tangy-sweet contrast, adding layers of flavor to every bite.

Taipei Songshan Y Hotel’s public relations representative Zeng Jiaqi also notedthat the "Semi Buffet" also offers a weekday business lunch service, priced from NT$580 to NT$680 + 10% service charge, with four different main dish choices: South Seas Tilapia Steak, 5-ounce Australian Select Ribeye, Grilled Chicken Leg Steak, and Grilled Pork & Vegetable Skewers.
