Japanese railway travel is probably familiar to many, but did you know that Korea also offers scenic tourist trains called the Loop Train (O-Train), Valley Train (V-Train), and Sea Train (S-Train)? Each route showcases unique features of South and Central Korea’s natural landscapes, and among them, the S-Train is Korea’s longest cross-country railway line!

The S-Train includes two routes: one connects Busan to Boseong in Jeollanam-do, and the other runs directly from Seoul to Yeosu EXPO Station. The “S” stands for the winding southern coastline, as well as sea and slow travel. The train’s design features ocean-blue hues along with traditional Korean patterns such as turtle ships, winter-blooming camellias, and cranes, all evoking poetic charm.
The fifth car of the train is designed with observation seats offering unobstructed views of the stunning coastline, family seats, and cozy couple seats perfect for a romantic getaway. Most uniquely, the fourth car houses a traditional tea ceremony room where passengers can enjoy an exclusive Korean tea experience (for an additional fee)—another highlight of the S-Train experience!
