On Monday, affected by the continental cold front, the weather in the north, northeast, and east will be on the chilly side, with other regions also cold in the early morning and late evening. Low temperatures in the north could dip down to 12 degrees after nightfall. Localized brief showers will persist in the eastern half of Taiwan and mountainous areas in the north, while other regions, as well as Penghu, Kinmen, and Matsu, will be mostly cloudy to sunny.
In terms of air quality, affected by the continental cold front, the air quality in the northern, Zhubei-Miaoli, Yilan, and Hualien-Taitung air quality zones will be at the “moderate” level. Areas south of central Taiwan, being on the leeward side, including the central, Yunlin-Chiayi-Tainan, and Kaohsiung-Pingtung zones, will be at the “orange alert” level. In particular, some parts of Yunlin-Chiayi-Tainan will experience relatively strong winds in the afternoon, leading to possible dust blowing. It is recommended that the public wear masks when going out.

From Tuesday until the early hours of Wednesday, under the influence of the continental cold front and radiational cooling, temperatures will remain on the cool side in the early morning and late evening across the board, with large day-night temperature differences, and the weather will mostly be sunny to partly cloudy.
Starting from the daytime on Wednesday, the continental cold front will weaken, and temperatures will gradually rise, though day-night temperature differences will still be significant. From Wednesday through the weekend, most areas will remain mostly cloudy to sunny, with only the eastern half of the country experiencing localized brief showers.
