Riding slides isn’t just for kids anymore. Many uniquely designed, record-breaking slides across Taiwan are not only super fun but also perfect for capturing adorable and playful photos. Here are seven must-ride slides – how can you be a true slide lover without trying them all?
 
1. The Elephant Slide
The floating pink elephant-shaped slide is located at Yilan Happiness Transfer Station, which was formerly the old Kuo-Kuang Bus Station. As such, the elephant slide is an especially unique play facility repurposed from a bus. The pink elephant features big eyes and short tusks, while its head and back are adorned with what looks like a conductor’s hat and a spring, resembling a whimsical pink flying elephant – absolutely dreamy!

2. The Three-Tiered Slide
The Yunbai Park in Xizhi, New Taipei City, themed around paper airplanes, is equipped with a variety of play and fitness facilities, including the nation’s first circular swing. Its expansive green spaces offer plenty of rest areas. The park’s most popular attraction is the three-tiered slide, where kids can choose their favorite according to their preference.

3. The Terrazzo-Painted Slide
Yungshan Park’s Youyi Hill in Zhonghe, known as an “urban forest,” features an extra-long terrazzo-painted slide and a family-friendly grass sled slope, which are especially popular with both kids and adults. With a height of 9.3 meters and a length of 20 meters, the slide boasts an elevated chute design paired with a cushioned landing track, ensuring a safe yet thrilling ride for all ages.

4. The Hamasen Slide
In Kaohsiung’s Hamasen historical district, Lane 60 of Dengshan Street features an ultra-long slide that stretches about 79 meters – it’s the longest and rarest roller-type slide in Taiwan. It offers one of the best views and is also the first slide in Taiwan to integrate with a historical site. With curiosity and childlike wonder, riders can experience the ups and downs of the terrain like a time machine, gliding through a historic space where multiple eras intersect.

5. The Terrazzo Stone Slide
Located on the mountain in Nanzhuang, Miaoli, this slide is 75 meters long. Created by the popular scenic restaurant “Suvila Manor,” it’s the longest forest terrazzo stone slide in Taiwan. The slide features colors in sweet shades of pink and powder blue, resembling a colorful stream winding down the hillside. It attracts not only kids but also plenty of adults.
