When it comes to Taiwan’s train stations, which one comes to mind? Is it the Zhi Fen and Cheng Gong stations that students must visit before graduation, or the Shi Fen Station where you can send off sky lanterns and make wishes? For railway enthusiasts who love scenic beauty, the most memorable might be the Duoliang Station, known as the “Most Beautiful Station in Taiwan”!

Duoliang Station is located in Tai Ma Li Township, Taitung County, and is an unmanned seaside station. The railway tracks disappear into tunnels at both ends, surrounded by green hills, with red railings set against the deep blue bay. As the station closest to the Pacific coastline in all of Taiwan, its scenery is truly breathtaking—no wonder it's called the most beautiful station in Taiwan！At sunset, when the train slowly passes by, it feels just like a scene from the Studio Ghibli movie “Spirited Away”!
Above and behind the station is an observation platform, where many indigenous people sell local specialties and snacks. Heading up the slope leads to the Xiang Yang Shin Chuan Woodworking Workshop, which was converted from an elementary school. Visitors can buy a variety of driftwood products or take a break at the attached coffee bar while admiring the endless panoramic views!
However, Duoliang Station was closed back in 2006. To enjoy the view, remember to take a bus or taxi from a nearby station to get there！
