The good weather comes to an end. On Sunday the 23rd, the weather changes, and with the strengthening northeast monsoon and eastward movement of cloud systems from southern China on the 23rd and 24th, the northern and northeastern regions will become cooler. There will be rain in the northern, northeastern, and eastern areas, with a chance of localized heavy rain, while other regions may also see brief, localized showers. Temperatures in the northern half of the country will drop to 16–20°C, rising slightly further south, with southern temperatures between 22–28°C.

On Christmas Day, the 25th, the northeast monsoon will weaken slightly and temperatures will rise. The northern half will see temperatures of 17–24°C, central areas around 19–23°C, and southern areas 21–27°C. With temperatures not particularly low, it will be less likely to get that wintry Christmas feel.
On Thursday the 27th, the northeast monsoon will strengthen again or a continental cold air mass will move south, bringing colder weather to the north and northeast. There will be brief, localized showers in the northern and eastern regions, with temperatures around 15–16°C. Other areas will be mostly cloudy. On Friday the 28th, the weather will remain on the cooler side, so prepare warmer winter clothing to avoid catching a chill.
