But a new feature at Hotel Hubertus in the Italian Tyrol might just take the cake—a 25-meter-long swimming pool that’s sure to make even the bravest of swimmers hesitate if they’re afraid of heights. Located in northern Italy within the Dolomites, a branch of the Alps, this region has been designated as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site for its stunning scenery. Guests at Hotel Hubertus, nestled at the foot of the mountains, wake up to this breathtaking view every day—an envy-inducing perk.
The most extravagant touch? The original ground-level hot spring pool was redesigned and relocated to a staggering height of four floors up. What’s more, the designer replaced part of the pool’s floor with transparent glass. Swimmers can gaze up at the natural landscape while enjoying their swim, and when passing over the glass section, they get a bird’s-eye view of the scenery below.
The infinity pool design seamlessly blends the pool with the surrounding mountain backdrop. When the water’s mirror-like surface reflects the landscape, the unity of mountain and water creates a view so majestic it’s beyond words—no doubt attracting many honeymooning couples.
