As photography enthusiasts, when we travel to other places, we always hope to find some beautiful or unique spots, and see if we can capture distinctive travel photos. Around the world, travel photography works may feature breathtaking landscapes or just simple scenes that touch the heart — all are truly worth sharing with others in their joy.
From January 16 to 19 this year, DCFever.com will hold a four-day photography exhibition at The Wave in Kwun Tong. In addition to showcasing outstanding works from our members, there will also be 10 Fever travel experts sharing their amazing travel photography. Moreover, we’ll host three travel culture salons to share unique travel stories with you.
Session 1: Hiking – A Conversation with Your Own Soul
Travel holds different meanings for different people, and “Rewalk Life” forum moderator Ah Bao has chosen “hiking” as his lifelong way of traveling. He once spent 56 days hiking 1,303 kilometers to circle Taiwan; he has also completed the over 4,526-kilometer Pacific Crest Trail on foot, walking from Mexico to Canada. When you're in a foreign place, everything around you feels especially novel. After traveling, once the dust settles and you take time to quietly reflect and feel, what insights might you gain?
Monka believes that life holds no coincidences. No matter how smooth or rough the journey, we are all on a path of change. During university, after a failed trip to Europe, he buckled down and worked hard to learn foreign languages. He can now speak three foreign languages—English, French, and German—not fluently, but passably. All his quiet efforts are simply to make the path of travel a little smoother.
