Fruity Tea announced a price hike starting from New Year’s Day, with medium-sized teas increasing by 5 NT dollars, fruit teas, passion fruit green tea, and golden pineapple teas going up by 5 NT dollars, and starfruit juice rising by 10 NT dollars. The company stated that the main reason for the price increase is that tea suppliers have raised their prices over the past two years, with increases reaching nearly 20%, plus the minimum wage hourly rate increased by 150 NT dollars on New Year’s Day, which has become hard to bear.

Chen Zhu Dan also followed suit with a price hike. Its signature brown sugar pearl fresh milk rose from 50 NT dollars to 55 NT dollars, while brown sugar fresh milk increased by a full 10 NT dollars. The main reason is the sharp rise in key ingredients such as milk and brown sugar, prompting the company to adjust prices this year.
