The results of Singapore’s first-ever Michelin Guide were recently announced, with the Kitchener Road flagship branch of Singapore’s Putien earning one Michelin star. This newest one-star restaurant in Singapore is also available in Taiwan, having been introduced by the Din Tai Fung Group in 2016. To celebrate the flagship branch’s star, all drinks at the store will be buy-one-get-one-free (same price only) from July 25 to July 31.
Putien Taiwan was introduced in January this year, opening at ATT 4 FUN in Taipei’s Xinyi District. It emphasizes its positioning as “Singapore’s best Asian restaurant,” with an average dining cost of around NT$650 per person. The Putien menu blends Singaporean flavors such as laksa, ayam buah keluak, and nyonya cuisine, featuring a total of over 60 dishes. “Very Singaporean” and “Putien’s Top 10” are must-try selections, while Chef Wang Yingqin of PUTIEN Taiwan recommends Crispy Taro Heart and Premium Spicy Pork Knuckle as top dishes.
