The latest list of the world’s top 20 safest airlines, selected by the internationally renowned aviation review website AirlineRatings.com, has been released. Qantas from Australia takes the top spot, and Taiwan’s EVA Air has once again made the list in 2019, having been ranked among the world’s safest airlines for six consecutive years.

AirlineRatings.com evaluated 405 airlines worldwide, using 12 criteria including airline management, safety records, and operational performance. The editors of AirlineRatings.com stated that Qantas is one of the oldest airlines, with highly advanced and accurate satellite navigation systems, and has demonstrated excellent performance in flight safety. As a result, it stands out as one of the best in both operations and safety.

The other19safest airlines include four from Asia, such as Taiwan’s EVA Air and Cathay Pacific, which is frequently used by Taiwanese travelers. The airlines on the list have all achieved a certain standard in terms of safety and innovation, allowing them to stand out in the aviation industry.

In addition to traditional airlines, AirlineRatings.com also selected the top ten safest low-cost carriers. The budget airlines on the list have all passed the rigorous International Air Transport Association Operational Safety Audit certification and have demonstrated outstanding performance in areas such as safety records.
