What happens after being stung by a venomous bee?

After being stung by a venomous bee, multiple areas such as the head, face, and limbs are often affected by wild bee stings, usually within the past 3 hours. The stung area experiences pain, burning, and swelling, along with symptoms such as cold sweats, palpitations, and dizziness.

What should you do if you get stung by a venomous bee?

Crush two sodium bicarbonate tablets and place them on a piece of gauze, then apply it to the affected area with water-soaked moisture. The application time should not exceed 12 hours. For the wet compress solution, river water, saliva, or even urine can be used depending on the situation.

Sodium bicarbonate tablets become weakly alkaline after hydrolysis, while the venom of wild bees is acidic. The neutralization of acid and alkali can reduce the body’s stress and allergic reactions to the venom. In autumn, wild bees are more active, and cases of people being stung are common. The likelihood of being stung by wild bees is even higher during military field training, hiking exercises, and cross-regional drills. This method is fast-acting, effective, convenient, inexpensive, and has no side effects, making it worth promoting within the military.
