The China Consumers Association selected 23 sunscreen cosmetics from the Beijing market and commissioned the Beijing Daily Chemical Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Station to conduct a comparative test. The test results showed that the majority of the samples were generally less effective at blocking long-wave ultraviolet (UVA) rays than medium-wave ultraviolet (UVB) rays.
Those with better blocking effects included: Yu Sai Sunscreen Hydro Jelly, Biore Coty Whitening Sunscreen Lotion, Olay Super Protection Sunscreen Lotion, Avon Summer Love Sunscreen Lotion, and Aokier No-Sun Tan Sunscreen Milk.
Those with weaker blocking effects included Sachenya Barrier Day Cream, Natural Beauty Aloe Whitening Sunscreen Cream, and Keman Whitening Sunscreen Cream.
