56 free slots to open tomorrow – Canoeing and sampan rides now available in Taipei

The 2016 Taipei Riverside Music Festival – Taipei 5 Fun Water event will open 56 experience slots for two activities, canoeing and sampan riding, on July 28 and 29 for public registration.

The two activities, canoeing and sampan riding, originally scheduled for July 9 and 10, were cancelled due to a typhoon and rescheduled for July 30. Priority for the makeup session will be given to those who had already registered, of which 68 people have confirmed participation. There are still 56 available slots, so registration will be open to the public from 09:00 to 17:00 on July 28 and 29. The registration hotline is 02-82581137.

The organizing Taipei City Government Department of Information and Tourism stated that both activities will take place next to the Shiji Bridge on Shizi Island. Registration is not limited to Taipei residents, but canoeing is open to participants aged 10 to 60, and sampan riding to those aged 15 to 60. The 56 slots are divided as follows: Canoeing – 12 people at the 11:00 AM slot, 10 people at the 1:00 PM slot, and 7 people at the 3:00 PM slot; Sampan – 2 people at the 9:00 AM slot, 9 people at the 11:00 AM slot, 13 people at the 1:00 PM slot, and 3 people at the 3:00 PM slot.
