Unfortunately, the small round windows are just too tiny—you can only see a small portion of the sky. How wonderful it would be to have the captain’s view and take in the entire glittering expanse of stars all at once.
Want to know what the captain’s view is like? Be sure to follow this Instagram account run by Dutch pilot and photographer Christiaan van Heijst. While flying Boeing 747s, he captures the natural landscapes before his eyes, allowing us to feel the awe-inspiring power of nature.
After seeing the captain’s works, has anyone thought about changing careers? Aside from the views from the sky, Christiaan also captures many stunning scenes on the ground that look like stills from a sci-fi movie.
Beautiful glaciers and even the views of skyscrapers are all captured through his lens.
