Photographer Dimitri, from France, operates under the brand name "Jahz Design" and describes himself as a "self-taught multidisciplinary artist." He specializes in creating artistic works in design, fashion, and photography. He also has a passion for photographing ruins, believing they bear witness to the changes of eras and are full of charm. One of his works features Bulgaria’s Flying Saucer Monument (Buzludzha).
The Flying Saucer Monument is located in the central part of Bulgaria’s Balkan Mountains, at an altitude of 1,432 meters, and was built in 1974 to commemorate the establishment of the local communist regime.
Later, in the early 1990s, as the Soviet Union collapsed and its influence over former republics and Eastern Europe waned, this "Flying Saucer Monument" in Bulgaria, much like the Berlin Wall, was eventually abandoned. Due to its unique appearance, resembling a UFO, it has become a pilgrimage site for ruin enthusiasts.
