Head to the Food Exhibition for Delicious Bites: Limited Tastings of Wagyu, Fresh Oysters, and Peking Duck

Just two days away from the annual Taiwan Culinary Exhibition, this year not only showcases the exquisite skills of chefs but also offers a variety of great-value meal vouchers for unbeatable deals. In addition, there will be numerous activities on-site, and one of the most mouthwatering highlights is the tasting of premium wagyu beef, ribeye steak, Peking duck, and fresh oysters—available for a limited time and in limited quantities. Food lovers should be quick on the day if they want to indulge.

The Lai Fung Travel Group’s Food Exhibition booth will run a “New LINE@ Friend + Facebook Fan First-Try Event” over four consecutive days. Besides having the chance to sample signature dishes such as the “Crispy Garlic Chicken” from Cantonese Restaurant Yue Liang at Taipei Lai Fung Marriott Hotel, or the popular “Open-Oven Roast Duck” from Golden Phoenix Hall at Lai Fung Inn, the first-day event will also feature an exclusive tasting of “Premium Wagyu” from Silk Road Banquet Interactive Restaurant at The Westin Taipei Lai Fung. The newly unveiled “Premium Wagyu” is made from wagyu cattle grain-fed for 20 months, resulting in tender, juicy meat. The first event will open for queueing at the booth at 10:45 AM on August 5, with a limit of 100 servings—first come, first served, while supplies last.

The Sky Tower Hotel Group will host a free tasting event daily at 2 PM and 3 PM from August 5 to August 8, featuring popular queued items including the much-loved open-oven roast duck from TICC World Trade Convention Center at Sky Tower Hotel and the American premium Cedar River Farm ribeye steak from PRIME ONE Steakhouse at Taipei Garden Hotel. The “Signature Open-Oven Roast Duck” uses locally sourced Yilan cherry ducks and is roasted in a hanging oven, resulting in a crispy and delicious skin. The “American Cedar River Farm Ribeye Steak” features premium American ribeye seared with rose salt and pepper on the outside before being grilled at high heat.

The Lalu Hotel will offer tastings of two dishes—“Flavored Orange Vinegar Marinated Fresh Oysters” and “Brownie Burger”—at 10:30 AM and 3:00 PM daily from August 5 to August 8, with a limit of 50 people per session. The “Flavored Orange Vinegar Marinated Fresh Oysters” are based on pearl oysters, orange vinegar, and seaweed, marinated in a specially prepared orange vinegar made from umami seasoning, kumquat, orange, soy sauce, lemon, kelp, and dried bonito, and served with mashed radish and green onions. In honor of Father’s Day, dads will be given priority for tasting.

During the Food Exhibition, The Earth Hotel will hold daily limited-edition food tasting events, allowing visitors to sample premium wagyu hot pot, Earth fragrant rice beef, and delicious risotto for free.
