Aside from shopping and eating, what else is there to do in Hong Kong? Hong Kong Ocean Park, which combines thrilling rides with an incredibly soothing aquarium, has always been a must-visit hotspot. In fact, there are four attractions within the park that offer breathtaking high-altitude views of the surrounding mountains and sea—the atmosphere is quite romantic. 1. Ocean Tower

The Ocean Tower is the tallest observation tower in Southeast Asia, standing at the highest point 200 meters (approximately 72 stories) above sea level. From here, you can enjoy a 360-degree view of the South China Sea, Aberdeen, Victoria Harbour, Lantau Island, Lamma Island, and Cheung Chau. Notably, the rotating cabin is air-conditioned—perfect for cooling off after a fun day in the park.

*Height restriction: Children under 122 cm must be accompanied by a person aged 15 or above who is at least 152 cm tall.

2. Giant Ferris Wheel

Standing 27 meters tall, the Giant Ferris Wheel has 18 cabins, each accommodating up to 6 people. As it slowly ascends, the views become increasingly spectacular. This gentle ride is perfect for couples, friends, or families, offering stunning views of the nearby bays and islands from above.

3. Cable Car

The classic Ocean Park cable car is one of the main ways to travel between the park’s two key zones: Waterfront and Summit. A total of 252 cable cars glide at 3.2 meters per second at an altitude of 205 meters above the South China Sea. The roughly 8-minute ride may not have air-conditioning, but you’ll enjoy a cool breeze drifting in through the windows, complemented by the stunning mountain and bay scenery.

4. Speedy Cyclone

Designed like a glider, this rotating gondola lets passengers adjust the wing flaps by pulling a lever in response to wind direction, shifting the ride’s position—giving you the thrilling feeling of truly flying as you soar through the blue sky and white clouds at 30 meters above the ground.
