Special report from Everest Base Camp (By special correspondent Zou Jin and correspondent Cao Zhikai) The Di Da Everest mountaineering team (Group A) arrived in an area above 7,300 meters yesterday, and after completing relevant material transport work, returned to the advance base camp. They will withdraw to the base camp for rest and recuperation in the coming days.
Yesterday, the team called in via satellite phone from the advance base camp at an altitude of 6,500 meters. After being troubled by bad weather for several days, the team successfully climbed to Camp C1 at an altitude of 7,028 meters the day before yesterday. After resting overnight, they reached an area above 7,300 meters yesterday, completed relevant material transport work, and then returned to the advance base camp. According to the plan, they will withdraw to the base camp for rest and recuperation tomorrow.
The remaining team members currently at the base camp may subsequently take over from Group A to carry out material transport work at the advance base camp.
