A new rival has emerged for Wai Fung Thai Group’s wildly popular brand “Daxin New Thai Noodles”! Chef Ah Ming (Li Ming?) in collaboration with Breeze Group has officially launched their new brand “Lemongrass Kitchen” on August 15th. The eatery specializes in quick and convenient Thai-style noodles for office workers, offering six flavors in total. The noodles can also be swapped for rice noodles, with prices ranging from NT$180 to NT$280.

Referred to by many as the “Taiwanese Arabian Prince,” Lin Yuda, along with Chef Ah Ming (Li Ming?), has partnered with Breeze Group to launch the Thai cuisine brand “Lemongrass Kitchen” (located at Breeze Plaza, in the space previously occupied by Thai Favorite). Chef Ah Ming leads the creation of authentic Thai royal cuisine.

Meanwhile, “Lemongrass Kitchen” is a brand designed specifically for office workers, offering six Thai-style noodle dishes. Flavors include the familiar Thai Spicy and Sour Seafood Noodles, Northern Thai Spicy and Sour Chicken Noodles, as well as Lemongrass Shrimp and Pork Noodles, Green Curry Coconut Pork Noodles, Lemongrass Mushroom and Vegetable Noodles, and Thai Braised Beef Noodles. Chef Ah Ming mentioned that the Thai Braised Beef Noodles are his fusion take on Taiwanese beef noodles, with the most unique feature being his self-developed lemongrass pesto sauce, which is mixed into the noodles before eating.

As for the noodles, they are supplied by Asha Dry Noodles. However, Chef Ah Ming explained that this particular noodle type was specially developed for Lemongrass Kitchen. The adjusted noodles are better suited for soup noodles and avoid becoming overly soft or mushy.

As for how the new brand ended up being named “Lemongrass Kitchen” (or Lemongrass Little Kitchen), Chef Ah Ming shared that during the brainstorming process for the new brand name, the team considered many options with the word “Thai.” He found it interesting that Thai cuisine brands always seemed to include the word “Thai.” Since lemongrass is one of the most essential spices in Thai cooking, they decided to incorporate lemongrass into the brand name.
