“2011year10month and Zhou Peng,Yan Dongdongduring a climbing and exploration trip in the Gongga Mountain area, I used theTNFfour-seasonMountain 25tent for the first time. During that month in the wilderness, the base camp felt just like home.
My role was that of a high-altitude photographer. In addition to a full set of climbing gear, I also carried a lot of photography equipment—two video cameras and a laptop. Keeping this equipment dry was crucial, and I was very worried that common issues like tent frosting would cause too much moisture inside, which could prevent my gear from functioning properly. But in reality, throughout the month-long expedition, none of my equipment was affected by moisture at all. Although temperatures sometimes dropped very low at night, the tent’s ventilation window design was highly effective and easy to adjust, resulting in good breathability, with only minimal frosting in the early morning.
Sometimes it snowed heavily all night, and I had to get up in the middle of the night to knock on the tent and shake off the snow that had accumulated on top of it.Mountain 25The tent’s support structure is very sturdy, so even when there was thick snow accumulation, the inner and outer tents didn’t stick together, making the overall insulation of the tent extremely good.
While filming Zhou Peng andYan Dongdongclimbing Jiizi Peak, I spent5000meters3days3and nights alone on the glacier at the foot of Jiizi Peak, which stands at an altitude ofMountain 25The tent poles’ outstanding flexibility withstood the powerful winds without sustaining any damage. It truly amazed me. I got through that night successfully, and I’m really grateful to have had it with me.
