Even kids can drift now — New Taipei Riverside Park opens a mini supercar driving track for children

Driving supercars and doing donuts isn’t just for adults — kids can now zip around in style too. A brand-new children’s supercar (electric kids' car) driving track, the first of its kind in Taiwan, has recently been set up at Riverside Park near Shuolan Bridge in Zhonghe District, New Taipei City. It’s now open for use, allowing children to safely and freely race their mini vehicles along the riverside.

In recent years, electric kids’ cars have become quite popular. Many parents buy them for their kids but often lack suitable places for them to drive. In response, New Taipei City Government transformed an existing parking lot at Riverside Park near Shuolan Bridge in Zhonghe into a “Children’s Electric Car Play Area,” providing a safe environment for kids to enjoy these vehicles.

The children’s electric car play area is divided into two themed zones. The racing track zone mimics a real racetrack, complete with a starting area and curves, offering the thrill of real racing. The driving practice zone, on the other hand, features ground drawings of real driving test elements such as reverse parking, parallel parking, and S-curves, letting kids experience the fun of taking a driving test.
