The Pokémon GO craze continues to sweep the globe, with people in every region searching for their local "Pokémon-catching hotspots." For residents of Douliu City in Yunlin County, the nearly century-old "Historical Site Memorial Hall" rightly earns the title of a sacred site. The park is not only adjacent to three PokéStops, but the sporadically blooming cherry blossoms also attract a diverse array of Pokémon to the area, drawing visitors to catch them. The memorial hall has even designed signs to encourage responsible and safe Pokémon hunting.

Constructed during the Japanese colonial period, the Historical Site Memorial Hall has stood in the Douliu area for nearly a century and is a well-known local attraction. However, recently, due to the popularity of Pokémon GO, it has seen a surge in visitors. The main reason is that nearbyTianxing Temple, the 33 Cultural and Creative Cluster, and the Historical Site Memorial Hall have all become PokéStops, enabling players to catch Pokémon and then replenish supplies, repeating the process and making it an ideal spot for leveling up. The memorial hall stated that it warmly welcomes visitors to catch Pokémon but also reminds them of three guidelines:parking vehicles properly, taking trash away with them, and keeping noise levels down after 10 p.m.The hope is for everyone to become a master in both the "Pokémon world" and reality, enjoying the game without disturbing others.
