Tigerair Taiwan is recruiting reserve flight attendants again, targeting those with Korean and Japanese language skills

Tigerair Taiwan is once again recruiting reserve cabin crew, with a focus on candidates who can speak Korean and Japanese. The application period for this round of Korean and Japanese-speaking reserve flight attendants runs from 00:01 on August 25 to 23:59 on September 4, 2016. A maximum of 50 recruits is expected.

In addition to requiring Republic of China nationality and graduation from a high school or vocational school recognized by the Ministry of Education (or higher), applicants must also have a TOEIC score of 450 or above, as well as conversational proficiency in Korean (preferably with a Korean Language Proficiency Test Level 2 certification or higher) or Japanese (preferably with a JLPT N3 level certification or higher).

When Tigerair Taiwan first recruited flight attendants in April 2014, over 7,500 people applied, resulting in an admission rate of just 1.16%. Last year (2015), out of 6,000 applicants, only 150 were hired, with an acceptance rate of about 2.5%.

After the application deadline for this recruitment round, all submitted resumes will undergo an initial written review. Those who pass the document screening will be invited to attend the preliminary interview on September 10 and 11, 2016, and the final interview on September 24 and 25, 2016. Following Tigerair Taiwan’s elite recruitment approach, the best candidates will be selected, with a maximum of 50 reserves expected to be hired. The successful reserve cabin crew members will begin training in November 2016 and become the tenth cohort of Tigerair Taiwan flight attendants.
