First visit to Taiwan after the earthquake！ Kumamon, the Kumamoto mascot, to appear at the Kyushu Products Exhibition from 9/1 to 9/2

The “Touch the KYUSHU Kyushu Products Exhibition,” organized by the Kyushu Charm Dispatch Project Implementation Committee, will be held from September 1 to 14 at New York New York A9 9F, Taipei Shin Kong Mitsukoshi. In addition to showcasing specialty products from all seven prefectures of Kyushu, Kumamon, the beloved mascot of Kumamoto Prefecture who enjoys immense popularity in both Japan and Taiwan, will make his first visit to Taiwan since the Kumamoto earthquake.

Kumamon’s “real self” will make appearances in Taipei at 14:30 and 17:00 on September 1, and at 11:30, 14:30, and 17:00 on September 2, with a total of five interaction sessions.

In addition to various local products, the organizers have specially brought VR equipment from Japan to the venue. By wearing VR goggles, visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of famous spots in Fukuoka, Saga, Nagasaki, Kumamoto, Oita, Miyazaki, and Kagoshima prefectures, allowing them to stroll through the streets of Kyushu as if they were actually there while in Taipei. Those who complete the experience survey can also enter a draw for a round-trip flight to Kyushu.
