Pets in the cabin!? ANA unveils new pet-friendly policy

According toLonely Planet,，All Nippon Airways (ANA) may soon introduce a pet-friendly policy allowing pets to travel in the cabin instead of the cargo hold.
Earlier this year, ANA launched a two-day, two-night tour package where tickets priced around NT$70,000 for two adults and one dog covered a two-day, two-night trip in Hokkaido. The experiment was deemed a success as the tickets sold out within two days. The dog sat by the window, with the crate secured to the seat, and a vet was also on board.
Currently, most airlines worldwide only allow animals in the cargo hold, with only certain sizes, breeds, or service animals (such as guide dogs) permitted in the cabin for hygiene reasons. If ANA’s policy is eventually extended to regular flights, it could usher in a new trend in travel.
