Calzaturificio Tecnica SpA was founded in the 1930s by Oreste Zanatta; in its early days, the company primarily manufactured work boots. In the 1970s, Tecnica invented the Moon Boot, achieving great success and selling 22 million pairs worldwide. Since 1970, Tecnica has been one of the most active companies in the global skiing industry. That same year, it launched Tecnus, the first thermo-moldable ski boot. In 1985, Tecnica diversified its product range, developing a line of outdoor sports shoes that quickly received positive responses in markets around the world.
