Bangkok’s tallest building debuts—unfinished look? Avant-garde sculptures and light show steal the show!

Recent travelers to Thailand must not miss Bangkok’s newly completed tallest skyscraper, MahaNakhon. The bold and futuristic tower showcased a uniquely captivating effect during its dazzling light show on the evening of its grand opening on the 29th.

Though not the tallest in the world, Bangkok’s 77-story, approximately 320-meter-high building leaves the deepest impression with its irregular, slightly weathered façade that resembles a sculpture when set against other structures, making it truly one-of-a-kind among Southeast Asian skyscrapers.
According to Lonely Planet,the tower features an outdoor bar and restaurant, as well as public spaces suitable for cultural events, and will also house a boutique hotel.
