Hsinchu Central Park Reopens! Free Family Fun at the Themed Children’s Park

After renovation and upgrades to its recreational spaces, Hsinchu Central Park has shed its formerly poor drainage, damp, and dim appearance. The original terrazzo slide has been preserved, while new landscape-style slides, sand pits, and parent-child washbasins have been added. The “Central Park Children’s Recreation Revitalization Project” was completed and the park reopened on September 2, offering families yet another free place to enjoy quality time together.

Since reopening, the park has attracted many parents and children, who have shared their visits online. The slides, bowl-shaped swings, and sand pits are especially popular with kids, while the parent-child washbasins—convenient for both adults and children—have also earned praise. Many netizens have commented that the park has become much more fun, with family-friendly facilities that are both convenient and thoughtful.

The Hsinchu City Urban Marketing Office stated that the revitalization project was designed with children’s education and exploratory growth in mind. Therefore, in addition to integrating nature and pedestrian-friendly design, the new parent-child shared space also incorporates urban aesthetics and the revitalization of green resources, transforming Central Park into a family-friendly recreation area and a model destination for children’s play. On September 3 and 4, the park will also host the “Baby Kids’ Fun Day.” In addition to park playtime, the event will feature performances by theater troupes, live shows, nature workshops, and DIY activities, allowing parents and children to enjoy a fun-filled weekend together.
