The Hawaii Tourism Office in Taiwan held the “2016 Hawaii Crystal Run” this year, which kicked off this morning (3rd) in Fulong. The Hawaii Crystal Run has introduced a fashionable post-race necklace and bracelet set with Swarovski crystals, attracting over 5,000 registrations, including celebrities such as Yuan Aifei, Lin Boyu, TV host Wei Huaxuan, and news anchor Jian Yijia, who showed off their great figures to support the event.
Xu Zhengchang, representative of the Hawaii Tourism Office in Taiwan, stated that female fitness trends have been on the rise in recent years. Noting that the Nagoya Women’s Marathon in Japan, which offers a Tiffany & Co. necklace as a finisher’s gift, attracts tens of thousands of female runners from around the world every year, the Hawaii Run this year has also targeted the female market. In collaboration with Swarovski, they created a stylish running event in Fulong, offering participants Swarovski crystal commemorative running shirts, finisher necklaces, and crystal commemorative bracelets.
The 2016 Hawaii Run featured several categories: the Hawaii Conqueror Group (24.5 km), the Ah-Up-Ha Challenge Group (9 km), and the Turtle Fun Group (5 km). The route passed attractions such as Fulong Beach, the Old Caoling Tunnel, and the San Diego Cape Lighthouse, allowing participants to enjoy the beautiful scenery of northern Taiwan while getting a good sweat. Additionally, the organizers collaborated with the Homeless Animal Rescue Association. Aside from specially planning a 2.5-km pet-friendly route for people to run with their pets, they also promoted the concept of “Adopt, Don’t Shop.” A charity sale booth was set up, with all proceeds donated to the Homeless Animal Rescue Association.
