China Airlines Taichung-Wuxi – Larger Aircraft in Service from 9/30, Operated by Boeing 738

Since launching its direct Taichung-Wuxi route on April 29, China Airlines has been warmly welcomed by local Taiwanese businesspeople. The airline is now pleased to announce that starting September 30, the aircraft serving the Taichung-Wuxi route will be upgraded from the previous 104-seat E190 to a Boeing B737-800. The Boeing 738 offers 8 business class seats and 150 economy class seats, an increase of 50% in seating capacity compared to the original configuration. With the approach of China’s National Day holiday, the larger aircraft will help meet the demand for Taiwanese businesspeople traveling back home.

Currently, there are over 3,400 Taiwanese businesses in the Suzhou, Wuxi, and Kunshan areas, many of which have factories in both Wuxi and Taichung. China Airlines’ weekend Taichung-Wuxi flights, operating on Fridays and Sundays, are especially well-suited to the needs of Taiwanese business executives and their families for visiting relatives and taking time off. Coupled with China Airlines’ four weekly Taipei-Wuxi flights, the China Airlines Group operates a total of six weekly nonstop flights from Taiwan to Wuxi.

To provide travelers with more diverse options, starting in September, China Airlines has specially designed itineraries that connect the three destinations of Wuxi, Ningbo, and Hangzhou, offering 5-day/4-night and 6-day/5-night travel packages.
