Revival Airlines Launches "Fresh Produce Home Delivery" Service: Sample In-Flight & Order Hokkaido Melons for Home Delivery

From tomorrow (the 6th) to the 22nd, Revival Air and the Hokkaido Economic and Industrial Bureau have jointly launched an in-flight home delivery service for Furano melons from Hokkaido. During this period, passengers on round-trip flights between Taoyuan and Hokkaido (Asahikawa, Hakodate, Sapporo) can also sample the "melon flavor" straight from the source in their in-flight meals.

Unlike previous delivery services, Revival Air noted that this is the first trial of in-flight fresh produce delivery. During the campaign period, the fruit served in all cabin classes on designated flights will be premium Furano melons, known for their sweet and crisp taste, offered as a tasting experience for passengers. Those wishing to have them delivered to their homes can place an order with the cabin crew. A set of two melons is priced at NT$2,199, with delivery dates available on one of four options: September 25, September 28, October 2, or October 5.

Melons are considered the king of Hokkaido fruits. The melons from Furano, thanks to long hours of sunlight and significant temperature differences, are cultivated into top-quality, sweet, and juicy premium melons. Under current regulations, Taiwanese tourists are not allowed to bring melons back to Taiwan from overseas. Therefore, the Hokkaido Economic and Industrial Bureau, in collaboration with Revival Air, has combined the in-flight meal experience with the launch of an in-flight sales and home delivery service to expand the export of Hokkaido agricultural products to Taiwan.

Local agricultural experts also shared some tips to enjoy melons at their best: when the rind turns from green to yellow, turn the melon upside down and gently press the center “dimple.” If it feels slightly soft, it’s ripe—perfect for enjoying. Before eating, place the melon in a plastic bag to prevent moisture loss, refrigerate it for 2 to 3 hours, then cut it in half to savor the sweet “melon flavor” from Hokkaido.
