The Samsung Note7 smartphone has recently been involved in multiple explosion incidents, with spontaneous combustion and explosions reported worldwide. The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued a "strong aviation safety recommendation" on its official Pack Safe webpage, which outlines baggage regulations, advising passengers not to use or turn on their Note7 phones during the flight and prohibiting them from checking the device in. China Airlines has also stated that passengers are not allowed to check in the phone when traveling on its flights.

China Airlines stated that to ensure flight safety, passengers traveling on its flights who possess a Samsung Galaxy Note 7 device must carry it with them and are prohibited from checking it in. The use or charging of the device is not allowed during the flight.

TransAsia Airways also announced that, to ensure flight safety, starting from today, passengers traveling on its flights who possess a Samsung Galaxy Note 7 device are prohibited from using or charging the device during the flight, as well as from checking it in.
