This railway station in Luye Township, Taitung County, is full of wooden crafts—playful wooden deer, exquisitely crafted entrance and exit signs. These lively and vivid creations are all handmade by the station master and staff of Luye. The ticket counter also offers an "Honesty Postcard" mailing service, letting passengers who stop here feel the simplicity and warmth of Luye Township.

The wooden carved decorations inside Luye Station are all handmade by the staff. Peng Guo-xun, the station master of Luye Train Station in Taitung County, said with a smile, "Many people ask me if I majored in art. I haven't studied woodworking, but I just did it with passion." He hopes to turn the Luye Station platform into another attraction, so that visitors can happily take photos while waiting there.

Without the grandeur of urban train stations, this simple little station still leaves a deep impression thanks to its strong human touch. Peng Guo-xun, the station master of Luye Train Station in Taitung County, started six months ago personally fundingthe provision of scenic postcards and stamps at the ticket counter, with postage fees entirely based on the "honesty system"where the public can pay whatever amount they wish.

The postcards received daily are organized by the station staff and mailed out early the next morning. Currently, about 100 postcards are sent out each month. He said, "When traveling abroad, I see that tourist spots all have postcard services, and we also want visitors to Luye to be able to send home memories of their journey."
