A giant moon hangs above the pool—this 1/500,000 scale replica of the real moon is absolutely stunning.

A very special exhibition will appear at festivals in different cities around the world. Created by UK artist Luke Jerram from Bristol, the installation uses satellite images from NASA as the basis for the hyper-realistic moon model, combined with a touch of imagination. Starting next month, this installation will be showcased in various cities.

According to the Lonely Planet website,the theme of this exhibit is a scaled-down replica of the moon, reduced at a ratio of 1 cm to 5 km, showcasing current research on lunar exploration. The accompanying music is composed by award-winning musician Dan Jones.

This artwork will be presented in various formats, both indoors and outdoors, offering different experiences and interpretations. “The moon holds different meanings across history, cultures, and religions, so the significance and interpretation of this piece will change depending on the country it’s exhibited in,” says Jerram.
