For many in the younger generation today, they may have never heard of "Old Master Q," but for those born in the 1960s and 1970s, it was one of their favorite childhood comics. The world’s first Old Master Q themed restaurant officially opened on September 13. Created jointly by Kam Kee Café and Old Master Q, this themed restaurant aims to offer a nostalgic experience alongside the delicious taste of classic soy sauce Western cuisine.

Life-sized wax figures of Old Master Q and Big Potato are displayed outside the Old Master Q themed restaurant, allowing customers to get up close for photos. The entire interior is decorated in a contemporary art style with retro elements, with every detail personally approved by Mr. Wong Chak. The dining area is divided into six themes: Love Cabin, Intriguing, Lifelike, Well-Deserved Fame, Lost in Joy, and Fun for All. Walls, ceilings, menus, and even tableware all feature Old Master Q. There's also a four-seat booth designed to look like a car from the comic, expected to become a popular photo spot.

The Old Master Q Restaurant specializes in nostalgic Hong Kong-style Western cuisine. In the 1960s and 1970s, a number of Western restaurants catering to the Chinese community emerged in the market. To suit Chinese tastes and offer more affordable prices, these restaurants slightly modified some Western dishes—such as replacing certain Western sauces with soy sauce and other Chinese seasonings. This came to be known as “nostalgic Hong Kong-style Western food,” or jokingly referred to as “soy sauce Western.”

The Old Master Q Restaurant offers nearly 100 varieties of food, desserts, and drinks. The menu naming is as humorous as the comics, using common four-character titles from the series—for example, “Plant Melons, Get Melons” is pumpkin soup, “Chance Encounter” is apple juice, and “Take Advantage Unnoticed” is steak on a hot plate.
