Typhoon Meranti hits Kinmen ! A quick guide to affected transport and attractions on the 15th

Typhoon Meranti has battered Kinmen, with 17 - level gusts toppling most trees, damaging some attractions, and leaving parts of the transport system yet to fully recover. ETtoday EBC News Cloud has specially compiledthe current status of transport and attraction closures in Kinmen as follows:

Transport:

Buses
All services are suspended for the whole day.

Kinmen - Little Kinmen ferry
Partial flights resume after 15:30. Ferries depart from Jiugong every half - hour and from Shuitou on the hour. Motorcycle transport is suspended during this period.

Aviation
Uni Air: All flights before 16:50 are cancelled. Normal flight operations are expected to resume after 17:50 (Kinmen - Kaohsiung route).
Mandarin Airlines: All flights before 15:30 are cancelled. Normal flight operations are expected to resume after 16:30 (Kinmen - Taipei route).
Far Eastern Air Transport: All flights before 14:40 are cancelled. Normal flight operations are expected to resume after 15:20 (Kinmen - Taichung route).
TransAsia Airways: All flights for the whole day are cancelled.

Attractions closed:
The General's Office, Jiuguang Tower, the Kincheng Civil Defense Tunnel, the Liuying Infantry Military Experience Park, the Xihong Barracks, the Yangming Barracks, and the Historical and Folklore Museum in the Cultural Park are all closed. The reopening time will be announced according to the recovery situation.
