Typhoon Malakas Approaches Taiwan, China, and Malaysia – Yilan’s “Jimmy Liao Bus” Suspended for One Day on the 17th

As Typhoon Malakas approaches, areas including Yilan, Hualien, Taitung, northern Taipei, New Taipei, and Keelung have been placed under alert. The Yilan City Government has announced that to ensure public safety, the two newly launched Jimmy Liao buses, “Starry Sky” and “Miracle,” will be suspended for one day on the 17th, and the public is advised to take note.

The Yilan City Government stated that the Jimmy Liao buses “Starry Sky” and “Miracle” have been very well received since their trial operation, with nearly every trip fully booked. However, as Typhoon Malakas is expected to bring strong winds and heavy rain, the buses will be suspended for one day on the 17th for public safety. Future service status will be announced separately depending on the typhoon’s movements.
