Surrounded by forests and awakened by the sounds of insects and birds — this isn’t just a scene from a movie. Nantou County’s Yuchi Township is home to such a transparent glass homestay. “Nine Trees Forest Creative Retreat” is tucked away in a lush green forest far from the city. The owner couple, who are designers themselves, have built an architectural space that lives in harmony with nature. They constructed the design-forward homestay along the trees, and the transparent glass creates a visual effect that makes you feel as if you truly live in the forest！

The property includes accommodations, a restaurant, and the forest itself. Visitors can come here just for a meal or opt to stay overnight (breakfast included). As soon as you step into Nine Trees Forest, the most eye-catching sight is the white pumpkin carriage, set against a vast green grassy embankment, resembling a scene straight out of a wedding photo shoot.

Nine Trees Forest Creative Retreat offers four room types: Glass Bamboo House, Triangle Treehouse, and Barn Homestay. The “Glass Bamboo House,” brimming with artistic vibe and design, is a standalone double room. Without walls, it’s made of tree trunks, bamboo, and glass, creating a transparent and spacious view, as if there’s no barrier between you and the surrounding forest. Even the bathroom features transparent glass, allowing you to enjoy a bath while admiring the outdoor scenery. Don’t worry about privacy — the room and bathroom both have curtains that can be drawn.

The Triangle Treehouse is also a standalone double room, located a bit more discreetly, hidden among the trees. The room has a unique triangular shape, featuring a black-and-white minimalist style combined with wood and glass, also giving off the feeling of living in the woods. The room is slightly smaller and perfect for couples on vacation.
