Recently, Huichuan District of Zunyi City held a press conference for the 2013 "Lifan · Loushan Qigu Cup" 5th China Zunyi Loushanguan · Hailongtun International Mountain Outdoor Sports Challenge. This year’s challenge will be held from September 12 to September 13, with the theme “Challenge the Majestic Loushan Pass · Explore the Mysteries of the Ancient Fortress, Enrich Tourism Culture · Experience the Thrill of Sports.” During that time, athletes from both China and abroad will compete in an exciting showdown at Loushanguan and Hailongtun in Huichuan District.
The challenge route spans approximately 100 kilometers. The event will feature 18 to 22 three-person teams from both domestic and international regions. The competition includes events such as cross-country running, rope skills, mountain biking, orienteering, wilderness survival skills, and also incorporates unique Guizhou ethnic sports such as bamboo drifting.
Unlike the previous four editions, this year’s challenge will not only host the main event — the Loushanguan · Hailongtun International Mountain Outdoor Sports Challenge from September 12 to 13 — but will also include the “Outdoor Culture & Photo Festival,” “National Fitness – Eco-Friendly Hiking Activity,” “Outdoor Sports Experience Day,” “Chongqing Motorists’ Chongqing-Zunyi Self-Drive Camping Trip,” “2013 Guizhou · Zunyi Outdoor Sports Industry Development Seminar,” “Closing Ceremony & Superstar Concert,” and the “2013 First Huichuan Leisure Shopping Festival.”
