Lines like “Only drinking Big Ice Milk will get you a boyfriend” and “You look just like French Fry Sister” sparked widespread discussion. Spotting a business opportunity, some vendors launched the “Getting Lucky Combo,” featuring ice milk and fries, which successfully captured attention. Located on Section 2, Hai’an Road, West Central District, Tainan, Lazy Days Board Game Restaurant has been in business for a year and a half. Unlike other board game cafés, it operates without a membership system or daily package fees, charging solely by the hour. Yet it remains steadily popular—not only because it stays open until 3 a.m., providing a gathering spot for friends, but also due to its diverse food and drink options.

“I think board game cafés are great because they bring people together. We get to know more people through games, and at the same time, board games let us do things we normally wouldn’t, like bluffing or tricking,” the owner’s wife said with a smile. The café was originally named “Lazy Days” because the owners didn’t want to put any tables or chairs—just bean bags—but many customers found tables more convenient, so the décor returned to normal. Currently, the shop offers nearly 400 types of games, costing NT$40 per hour on weekdays and NT$50 on holidays. It’s often fully booked.

Its color resembles the blue of the ocean, with a section of white waves in the middle and a yellow hue like a sunset on top—evoking the image of a mermaid swimming gracefully, hence the name. It has a sweet and sour flavor.

The drink’s name is quite playful, mainly because of its red-and-white color scheme, resembling the feminine hygiene product often seen in ads. The white part is Calpis, while the red consists of pomegranate and rose flavors. It’s a favorite among female customers.

This is the café’s newest combo, inspired by the recent viral video that combined “Immortal Auntie’s Big Ice Milk” and “French Fry Sister.” The fries are made from thicker rustic-style potatoes, resulting in a soft and fluffy texture in the center. The owner’s wife explained, “We use an air fryer, so they’re less greasy.” The Big Ice Milk tastes sweet and creamy, reminiscent of the blissful early days of a romantic relationship.
