The way home is blocked ! Additional ferry services to Green Island and Orchid Island will be added starting September 21 in Taitung to ease transportation.

Typhoon Meranti, a powerful storm, recently hit Taiwan, bringing strong winds and heavy rain that whipped up 10-meter-high waves in Taitung. These caused the red lighthouse at Fugang Fishing Port to break and fall into the sea, and also obstructed the shipping routes of the Fugang–Green Island and Orchid Island ferry lines. To serve travelers and local residents, the Taitung County Government has coordinated with ferry operators to add one extra round-trip service between Chenggong and Orchid Island as well as Green Island on September 21 and 22. Travelers are advised to stay informed.
