Absolutely stunning！ The nation’s largest “Suogang Light Sculpture Show” debuts in Penghu

The much-anticipated debut of the Penghu “Suogang Light Sculpture Show,” touted as the nation’s largest light sculpture event, took place on the evening of the 24th. Over the course of the 10-minute performance, the show tackled the most complex building projection facade in Taiwan, featuring a projection surface with as many as 6 million irregular bumps and indentations against the backdrop of Zihwei Palace. The entire show flowed seamlessly, offering a breathtaking visual extravaganza that blended powerful sound-and-light effects with digital light sculpture art. On the evening of the 24th, popular singers such as Luan Dan A-Xiang, Jia Jia, and Macbeth were also invited to join the audience for an electrifying night in Penghu.

Zhou Yonghui, Director of the Tourism Bureau, who personally hosted the opening ceremony on-site, noted that the Suogang Light Sculpture Show is one of the three major events under the “Penghu Autumn Frenzy – Cooler Yet More Fun” series. The 3D light sculpture display is highly distinctive and efforts should be made to extend it, such as by holding “banquets” (local feasts) to showcase regional features.

Boasting abundant tourism resources, Penghu aims to invigorate its autumn tourism market. From September 24th to November 5th, the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications will launch a series of autumn tourism promotion events. By connecting tourism resources and integrating local industries, the goal is to attract over 30,000 additional visitors during the season, keeping Penghu’s tourism scene vibrant year-round and attracting more tourists to experience the beauty of Penghu in autumn and winter.

Performance Schedule: From September 24th to November 5th — Tuesdays and Thursdays: one show at 7:00 PM and another at 8:00 PM; Saturdays and Sundays: one show each at 7:00 PM, 8:00 PM, and 9:00 PM.
