Consumers can apply through channels other than the Gore official website. In 2014, Gore will collaborate with well-known industry websites to establish five application platforms: Sina Branch, 8264 Branch, Green Field Branch, Hummingbird Branch, and iCar Branch. While creating broad application channels, these platforms also cater to the diverse interests of outdoor enthusiasts and allow participants to meet others who share their passions on the branch platforms.
The Dream Collection is divided into five categories based on consumer needs: Professional Mountaineering Group, Wilderness Trekking Group, Outdoor Hiking Group, Outdoor Photography Group, and Outdoor Self-Driving Group. Whether you are a professional outdoor athlete, an experienced enthusiast, or just an amateur, as long as you have an outdoor dream, you can sign up through the Gore official website or any of the five event branch platforms, select the appropriate category, and submit your travel plan.
It is worth mentioning that the 8th edition of the event has specially added a “New Explorers’ Dream Destination” voting session. For the majority of outdoor enthusiasts who may not be adept at crafting travel plans, simply voting for your desired destination and sharing the origin of your dream offers a chance to join an eight-person Dream Destination exploration team led by professional mentors, thereby realizing the exploration of your dream destination and fulfilling your outdoor aspirations. In addition to the main site, users can participate in the “New Explorers’ Dream Destination” voting on each branch platform. The selection method for the winning plan is based on the rules from previous editions, with the addition of mentor recommendations and online public voting to determine the shortlisted plans, allowing even more people to take part in the event.
