Last updated 2026-11-08 — A small stand has recently popped up in the alleys of Taipei’s East District, serving eye-catching rainbow crepes that are almost too pretty to eat. In addition to sweet and savory flavor options, the crepe batter comes in rainbow, matcha, turmeric, bamboo charcoal, and red bean varieties. Sweet options range from NT$60 to NT$80, while savory ones cost between NT$115 and NT$150. According to their social media page, their spice-marinated beef uses USDA Prime-grade beef from the U.S. – we’ll share more about that later if we get the chance.

In addition to sweet and savory options, the crepes come with a variety of batter choices including rainbow, matcha, turmeric, bamboo charcoal, and red bean. Sweet crepes are priced between NT$60–80; savory ones range from NT$115–150. According to their social media, the spicy beef used here is USDA Prime grade beef from the U.S.—we’ll share more about that next time!

The rainbow crepes are made with natural ingredients and contain no artificial coloring. The owner generously displays the ingredients used right on the food truck.

You can watch as the owner deftly pours colored batters numbered 1 through 5 into a measuring cup, then spreads them evenly on the iron plate—slowly revealing a beautiful rainbow outline, almost like an oil painting!

Today I went with the matcha latte flavor. The batter is spread with fillings, and then finished with a blast from the blowtorch to add crispiness and aroma.

These crepes are really ~amazing~. While waiting, I noticed a stack of wooden signs on the counter and curious, flipped through them—they’re actually numbered waiting tickets. The owner, worried about long waits, added hilarious quotes to the wooden tags. The lanterns on the sides also have little surprises hidden in them—so creative!

After cooking, the crepes are cooled and set with a fan.

The colorful rainbow crepes have a crispy texture and just the right level of sweetness in the filling. Maybe my taste buds are a bit more adventurous, but the matcha latte flavor I chose that day was more refreshing. A bit more filling might have made it even better!

The inside of the crepe is also filled with rainbow patterns, and the bamboo charcoal-flavored batter is another popular option. It looks like this street will soon be packed with people, becoming a new IG hotspot in Taipei!
