Miyazaki’s Limited-Edition “Mao Li Miao” Cat-Themed Bus Makes Its Adorable Debut – Explore Taiwan at a Leisurely Pace with Taiwan Tourist Shuttle

Miyazaki’s mascot “Mao Li Miao” can now be spotted on the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle too. The Cultural Affairs and Tourism Bureau of Miaoli County has introduced a limited-edition Mao Li Miao-themed bus to promote the “Taiwan Tourist Shuttle – Nanzhuang Line, Xianshan Line, and Xiangtianhu Line.” In addition to encouraging low-carbon travel among visitors, passengers can also enjoy a whimsical journey aboard the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle in a vehicle decked out with adorable designs.

The Nanzhuang Line, Xianshan Line, and Xiangtianhu Line under Miaoli’s Taiwan Tourist Shuttle service have launched Mao Li Miao-themed buses. While the exterior maintains the standard Taiwan Tourist Shuttle design for easy recognition, passengers will be pleasantly surprised as soon as they step inside the cabin. The interior features vibrant Mao Li Miao floor stickers, seat cushion covers, and ceiling decals, along with QR code stickers for an audio guide on the back of each seat. By scanning the code with their mobile phones, travelers can listen to bilingual (Chinese and English) commentary about the unique features and travel information of each stop, offering a more comfortable and user-friendly ride.

Additionally, Miaoli’s Taiwan Tourist Shuttle has launched four types of bundled tickets that combine transportation passes, accommodation, leisure activities, and DIY experiences, providing tourists with more diverse and flexible options. To promote laid-back slow travel in Miaoli, one-day trial tour events will be held on October 1 and 2—namely the Nanzhuang–Xiangtianhu Route and the Nanzhuang–Baguali Tribal Route.
