The "Never Too Old Cycling Team" was welcomed by over 50 cheering locals in Port Angeles, Washington.
According to a report by CNA on the 3rd, 42 cyclists from Taiwan (China), Japan, and Singapore, with an average age of 70, launched the "Long Live the Thousand-Mile Ride" campaign, receiving warm receptions everywhere they went, and attracting significant attention from international media.
This group of seniors formed their own "Never Too Old Cycling Team" and set off on the "Long Live the Thousand-Mile Ride" on the 1st. They recently entered the U.S. from Canada and were greeted by over 50 cheering locals in Port Angeles, Washington, with extensive coverage from local media.
The mayor of Port Angeles personally came out to welcome the "Never Too Old Cycling Team," giving each elderly rider a warm hug. There were also performances by a band and singers. The "Never Too Old Cycling Team" danced in return, creating a lively atmosphere.
Port Angeles Mayor Dan Di Guilio also announced during his speech that he accepts April 1st as "International Never Too Old Day" in honor of the group.
After the "Never Too Old Cycling Team" arrived in Port Angeles, many cycling enthusiasts and even the sheriff joined in the ride, including 65-year-old Richard Huie.
